Mission
We develop individualized, mentored plans that connect at-risk youth to the best-fit community resources — and identify gaps in coverage.
Individual plans, built with mentors and coaches
Wichita Pathways for Youth, using a core of life- and career-coaches and mentors consolidated in a central youth-centered facility in downtown Wichita, will develop individualized plans for identified at-risk youth starting in July 2026. These plans will focus on using the optimum set of community resources for each child, resulting in a mentored path including vocational and career solutions that best fit each child’s desired life goals, abilities and aptitudes.
In practice, this means we will:
- Build individualized plans based on each youth’s goals and strengths
- Coordinate the best-fit community resources for each youth
- Provide consistent mentoring and coaching support
- Identify gaps in resource coverage and work to close them
At-risk youth may be identified through grassroots organizations and partner referrals, including:
- Grass-roots community organizations

- Wichita Police Department
- Wichita Fire Department
- Sedgwick County Sheriff
- Sedgwick County Family Court
- Other community partners across Sedgwick County
